External Support and Coaching Services
When you work alone or are responsible for the work of others, there is often no-one appropriate that you can discuss strategic or everyday management issues with, let alone your personal goals and issues. However successful you are, there will always be times when you are stuck and cannot see an obvious way forward.
This is not just a personal issue. Voluntary sector management committees have a duty of care to make sure the staff they employ are supported and developed and do not get overloaded. Access to informed and independent staff support from an expert outside the organisation can be a very powerful and positive resource for increasing morale, improving services and accessing funding.
As an experienced manager and information worker in the public and voluntary sectors, I am able to offer understanding and advice. I can be a sounding board to help you to think more clearly about problems and to explore new ideas. My approach is practical, encouraging, challenging and completely confidential.
Support sessions can be face-to-face or by phone, at a frequency to suit you:
- One-off reviews to get tasks done or resolve specific issues
- Time-limited coaching to develop skills and knowledge
- Regular meetings to review progress and set goals
Services are tailored to meet the needs of each individual and organisation and can help you to:
- be more focused and organised
- explore alternative ideas and solutions
- remove the blockages to progress
- become a better manager
- be more creative and less stressed
